Ecopharmacovigilance is an emerging field adapted from the pharmaceutical industry’s practice of collecting, detecting, monitoring, and preventing adverse effects of marketed drugs. In this case, ecopharmacovigilance examines the adverse effects of marketed drugs on the environment rather than on the people who take them. This is an interdisciplinary field which covers areas of public policy, environmental chemistry, restoration ecology, pharmacology, and science communication. The webinar gives attendees an introduction to this developing field as well as provide a space for discussing how to bring concepts into current projects. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own questions and details about their projects.
