When we are working in conventional scientific, "remote" situations and doing "land management" and ""environmental planning" is it possible for us to do a good job without directly engaging with the spirits, energies and authorities of the natural elements and beings? If so, how?

Through the education system, I feel we spend years learning and becoming but when I look closely, it's like we are not really learning what we need to be. The focus of this world is on survival, not so much on the spiritual dynamics and connections. Is there such a possibility or I am just lost?
